BACK TO FUN STUFFWith the change of seasons meaning we are getting reacquainted with Autumn, we’ve got a tasty little treat for you in the form of India Red Lager. Throwing it back to our first Modern Retro Lager Project, we are reminded as to why it is also one of our favourites.
India Red Lager starts with a relatively simple base malt profile, before undergoing a long, cold, seven-week lager conditioning period to ultimately finish clean and snappy.
It takes inspiration from classic west coast IPAs with a chewy, malty body, before launching into a modern hop tweak of Nelson Sauvin and Sabro that provides dank, piney hop character mixed with mango and lime. It finishes with a moreish dryness and just enough bitterness that it keeps you coming back for more.
