HELLOOOO HAZY DIP HOPPED IPA

BACK TO FUN STUFF

Our latest Hazy IPA is pushing the boundaries on hop experimentation with new friends Freestyle Hops and a new technique we like to call Dip Hopping. ⁣

The technical stuff 🍻 ⁣
We are lucky enough to be one of the first West Aussie brewery to get our hands on some very special hops from Freestyle Hops in New Zealand, so we wanted to brew a spectacular beer to showcase these beauties. We chose Freestyle’s Nelson Sauvin as our hero hop, and experimented with dip hopping, a new process that involves intentionally leaving hot side hops out of the whirlpool. Instead, we transferred beer to tank and added hops just before ferment at a warm temperature.⁣

Post ferment, we triple dry hopped the beer at a ridiculous 40g p/L hopping rate, just for fun! The goal of dip hopping is to extract bonkers amount of aromatics and flavour (in the words of our brewers) and we reckon we’re on the money!⁣

The tasty stuff 🍻 ⁣
The final beer is a huge hazy IPA landing at 7% ABV. Full of tropical fruit aromatics, ripe mango and lemon sorbet, it’s as big on flavour as it is on mouthfeel.
