The Story Behind the Name

For Aaron, the name Yarri was never just a name.

It represented everything the restaurant wanted to become.

Yarri is the Noongar name for the blackbutt eucalyptus tree that grows naturally along creek beds throughout Western Australia.

"The Yarri represents localism. It represents nature. It reflects who we are and what we do."

The connection became even more meaningful when the team discovered a large Yarri tree on the property.

Rather than removing it, the timber was carefully repurposed into furniture throughout the restaurant, allowing a piece of the site to become part of every guest's experience.

"It just felt right from the very beginning."

From the moment you walk through the doors, it's clear that Yarri's philosophy centres around honesty and simplicity.
