Meet Keith | General Manager

For Keith Warrick, hospitality has never simply been about serving food and drinks.

It's about creating memorable experiences.

With a career spanning luxury hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants, renowned wineries and hospitality venues across the UK and Western Australia, Keith brings decades of experience and an unwavering passion for people to Eagle Bay Brewing Co.

A Passion Born Through Travel

Growing up in the UK during the 1970s, Keith remembers a very different food culture to what we know today.

"Things like Parmesan cheese, olive oil and Roma tomatoes were considered luxury items."

Travelling throughout Europe opened his eyes to an entirely new world.

Exceptional wine.

Artisan produce.

Regional food traditions.

It was those experiences that sparked a lifelong passion for hospitality.

Discovering Hospitality

Keith's first hospitality role came while working in a hotel in London.

"I realised I could genuinely make a difference to someone's day."

That experience inspired him to study a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Catering Administration at Middlesex University.

As part of his studies, he completed placements that would shape the rest of his career.

One of the highlights was six months working in a two Michelin-starred restaurant in France's Champagne region.

"The head chef took me under his wing. You can only imagine what their wine cellar looked like."

Learning from the Best

After returning to England, Keith found another defining experience at London's famous Groucho Club.

The private members club welcomed leaders from the worlds of art, literature, media and politics.

Service wasn't simply about efficiency.

It was about relationships.

"You needed to know everyone's name, their preferences and deliver everything to the highest possible standard."

Those lessons continue to influence his approach to hospitality today.

A New Chapter in Australia

In 2003, Keith and his wife Sian made the decision to move their young family to Australia.

After years working long hours in the UK hospitality industry, they were looking for a different lifestyle.

The move also allowed Keith to pursue another passion.

Wine.

He joined Capel Vale, initially working in sales before progressing into operations and eventually becoming General Manager.

Later roles at Wise Wine and Happs Wines brought him to the South West and ultimately introduced him to the d'Espeissis family.

In 2018, Keith joined Eagle Bay Brewing Co. as General Manager.

When Keith first joined Eagle Bay Brewing Co., the team consisted of around 30 people.

Today, that number has grown to more than 70.

"The biggest difference is definitely the size of the team."

While the business has evolved significantly, Keith believes one thing has remained constant.

A commitment to quality.

"Our core range built the reputation of Eagle Bay Brewing Co., but what excites me now is taking people on a journey through our Single Series releases, limited batches and new brewing projects while maintaining that same quality focus."

What Drives Keith

Ask Keith what keeps him motivated after all these years and the answer isn't simply beer.

It's the opportunity to keep improving.

Working alongside the owners and leadership team, he's passionate about continually developing the business, strengthening workplace culture and creating exceptional experiences for every guest who visits Eagle Bay Brewing Co.

Daily ritual

• Early morning exercise, whether that's swimming, cycling or the gym.
• Keeping detailed lists to stay organised.
• Finishing each day by reading or walking along the beach to reset.

After-work drink

A Chardonnay before moving on to a Shiraz.

Favourite South West spots

• Barnyard for a memorable meal.
• Cycling through the Yallingup Hills.
• Smiths Beach, where Keith volunteers with the surf club, helping patrol the beach and support Nippers each Sunday.
