It Takes A Village - Meet Emma
The Eagle Bay experience is shaped by the people behind it. In our It Takes a Village series, we introduce the passionate team members who help make Eagle Bay Brewing Co. such a special place to visit.
Meet Emma | Office Manager
Around Eagle Bay Brewing Co., Emma Warner is affectionately known as the super glue that holds everything together.
As our Office Manager, she's the friendly face behind the scenes keeping the wheels turning, supporting the team and making sure everyone is looked after.
In many ways, she's also the workplace mum.
Emma joined Eagle Bay Brewing Co. on 31 December 2015, one of the busiest days of the year.
It's fair to say she was thrown straight into the deep end.
Starting at Full Speed
Most people ease into a new job.
Emma's first day couldn't have been more different.
"New Year's Eve was my first day, so it was pretty full on."
"I remember being taken out to the front to see what summer looked like at Eagle Bay and thinking, you're either going to love this and stay for years, or it'll send you running for the hills."
Nearly a decade later, she's still here.
Keeping Everything Running
Emma's role touches almost every part of the business.
Payroll.
Accounts payable.
Accounts receivable.
Supporting the team.
Helping solve problems.
Making sure the business keeps running smoothly behind the scenes.
"It sounds like only a few things, but each one has about a hundred little jobs underneath it."
Before joining Eagle Bay, Emma worked as a receptionist for another local business while also managing the books for her family's business, giving her the perfect foundation for the many hats she wears today.
Why Eagle Bay?
Ask Emma what she enjoys most about working here and her answer is simple.
"The people."
"It's always been such a supportive group."
Of course, working in one of the South West's most beautiful locations doesn't hurt either.
"The view's pretty amazing."
She also loves jumping in to help the restaurant team on particularly busy days, proving that no matter your role, everyone pitches in when needed.
The Best Part of Every Morning
Emma's favourite part of the workday actually happens before she reaches the office.
"I love driving in and seeing the cows by the driveway."
Sometimes she'll even stop to say hello.
It's one of those simple moments that reminds her just how unique Eagle Bay Brewing Co. really is.
Life Outside the Brewery
Away from work, Emma has recently returned to another passion.
Horse riding.
After taking some time away, she's back in the saddle and enjoying every opportunity she gets.
Much of her spare time is also spent travelling around Western Australia supporting her son, who competes in go-kart racing.
Weekends often involve race tracks instead of beaches.
