IT TAKES A VILLAGE - Meet Bronte
The Eagle Bay experience is shaped by the people behind it. In our It Takes a Village series, we introduce the passionate team members who help make Eagle Bay Brewing Co. such a special place to visit.
Meet Bronte | Marketing & Brand Manager
Every post, event, beer launch and story you see from Eagle Bay Brewing Co. starts somewhere, and more often than not, it starts with Bronte.
Joining the team in August 2021 after four years at one of Western Australia's most recognised craft breweries, Feral Brewing Co., Bronte brought with her a passion for storytelling, branding and, of course, great beer.
Finding Her Place in Marketing
Originally, Bronte thought journalism was the path for her.
"I realised I loved the strategic side of business just as much as the communication side."
That realisation led her to study a Commerce degree, majoring in Public Relations and Marketing.
Like many graduates, she imagined herself working in a large city agency. But one piece of advice during an internship changed everything.
"I was told that if I wanted to succeed in the industry, I'd have to sacrifice my social life."
Rather than accepting that idea, Bronte decided to flip it on its head.
"If I wanted a career that involved people, events and connection, why not work in an industry built around exactly that?"
Soon after, she landed a graduate role with Feral Brewing Co.
Falling in Love with Craft Beer
Before finishing university, Bronte travelled through Germany, where she discovered traditional monastery breweries and the incredible history behind beer.
At the time, she was also working in retail at Mecca.
The contrast couldn't have been greater.
"The beauty industry was very appearance-focused. Then I stepped into the brewing industry where everyone was simply passionate about making great beer and sharing it with people."
It felt like the perfect fit.
Festivals, brewery events and connecting directly with customers weren't just part of the job. They were exactly what she loved.
Learning on the Fly
Bronte laughs when she remembers her first day at Feral.
During her interview she'd admitted she had no graphic design experience.
On day one, she was handed a Photoshop login and asked to design packaging for an upcoming beer release.
"I had two weeks to teach myself Photoshop."
She did.
That willingness to learn quickly became one of her biggest strengths.
Over four years, Bronte progressed from Marketing & Sales Support to Marketing & Brand Manager, helping guide the Feral brand through its acquisition by Coca-Cola Amatil while ensuring it stayed true to its craft beer roots.
Joining Eagle Bay Brewing Co.
After four years with Feral, Bronte was ready for a new challenge.
She joined Eagle Bay Brewing Co. as Marketing & Brand Manager, bringing with her a deep appreciation for authentic brands and community-focused storytelling.
Her role now spans everything from product launches and events to photography, social media, campaigns and sharing the stories behind the people who make Eagle Bay what it is.
Why Eagle Bay?
Ask Bronte what she enjoys most about working here and the answer comes without hesitation.
"The people."
"The culture here is really special. Everyone genuinely wants to help each other succeed."
"It's a collaborative environment where people naturally go above and beyond because they care about each other and about what we're creating together."
