It Takes A Village - Meet Fraser
The Eagle Bay experience is shaped by the people behind it. In our It Takes a Village series, we introduce the passionate team members who help make Eagle Bay Brewing Co. such a special place to visit.
Meet Fraser | Sales Manager
For Fraser, selling beer was never just about sales.
It was about sharing great beer with great people.
After years working in bottle shops and independent liquor stores, a passion for craft beer naturally evolved into a career. Today, as Sales Manager at Eagle Bay Brewing Co., Fraser works closely with venues and retailers across Western Australia, helping more people discover the beers we love brewing.
From Bottle Shops to Breweries
Fresh out of high school, Fraser began working in bottle shops where he quickly developed an appreciation for craft beer.
By 2015, Perth's independent beer scene was booming, and Fraser found himself managing the beer range at Leederville Liquor Merchants.
"I was really getting into craft beer at that time. There was so much happening and I loved curating the range."
It sparked a clear career goal.
"I knew I wanted to become a beer rep."
After several attempts to break into brewery sales, Fraser decided to take a different path.
An Overseas Adventure
Together with his partner, Fraser spent six months in Japan before moving to Berlin, where they planned to live and travel throughout Europe.
But after months of moving between apartments and facing a long European winter, home started calling.
"We got a bit homesick. Summer was coming back in Perth and everyone was heading to the beach."
Returning to Australia for what was meant to be a casual summer job turned into the opportunity he'd been waiting for.
A sales role became available at Nail Brewing.
"I applied on a whim thinking, 'You never know.'"
He got the job.
Joining Eagle Bay Brewing Co.
After more than three years with Nail Brewing, Fraser joined Eagle Bay Brewing Co. in 2022.
Today he leads our sales team, working closely with venues, retailers and bottle shops across the state to share Eagle Bay beers with more people.
What Makes the Role Special?
Ask Fraser what he enjoys most about working at Eagle Bay and the answer comes quickly.
"The crew."
"We've got an awesome team here."
He also believes great beer makes everything easier.
"It's easy to sell really good beer. If the liquid is good, the rest falls into place."
One of the things he values most is the close connection between the sales, marketing and brewing teams.
"It feels like the perfect triangle. Everyone's working towards the same goal, making good beer, being good people and having a good time."
Life Outside of Work
When Fraser isn't on the road visiting customers, you'll usually find him pursuing one of several hobbies.
Golf is one of them, although he'll be the first to admit he's "a pretty terrible golfer."
Music has also always played a big role in his life.
While he once played guitar in bands, these days you'll find him experimenting with synthesizers, drum machines and creating electronic music.
Outside of that?
Good food.
Good beer.
Good company.
