West Oz indian summer = India Pale Lager

Meet our latest Brewer’s Series – India Pale Lager, a refreshing twist to our line up. While Indian Pale Ale’s were the Aussie beer lover’s favourite in 2018, this Brewers Series ushers in the new year of beer, blending the fruity hops taste of IPAs, with the easier drinkability of a lager.

“After our lagers rated really well at the Perth Beer awards, we thought okay, maybe lager is our thing,” explained Nick d’Espeissis, head brewer at EBBCo. “We’ve wanted to do an IPL for ages and it’s a beer that really suits long hot summers, so the timing felt perfect. IPL exhibits a lot of hops. It’s more about that sweet aroma with the malt to support as a backbone. Great for those who want some bitterness that’s well balanced with fruit character.”

The beer uses a hops strain that has only recently been released to Australia. Test brews using the hops were incredibly popular with regulars at the EBBCo. Brewhouse and Restaurant, proving the deciding factor in making the IPL Eagle Bay’s newest Brewers Series release.

Available now until the end of APRIL in both bottles and on tap, the EBBCo. IPL is ideal for relaxing afternoons at the beach, or as a moreish sip during long lunches.
