Say g'day to our XPA
BACK TO FUN STUFFFresh food, fresh beer and old friend’s. We’ve been celebrating the best in life for a decade now and we thought we would give ourselves and everyone a fresh new brew to get acquainted with. Introducing Eagle Bay XPA 3.5%, our new core range beer.
Our new XPA is something special for beer-lovers who want a drink a little lighter in alcohol but still offers a bright, juicy and hoppy flavour. Coming in hazy sunshine yellow, its a nice hint of what people can expect from the taste.
As Eagle Bay Head Brewer Keegan Steinbacher explains. “Eagle Bay XPA had been in my head for some time. I’d been thinking about a delicious, lighter bodied beer that uses New World hops, that just happens to lower in alcohol. The modern mid”
“XPA’s are a loose style, but at their core, it’s all about sessionability and refreshment, something that we do with all of our Eagle Bay beers”
Eagle Bay XPA recipe development took place over many months, and as much as we love hops, the yeast choice was critical as Keegan explains.“The Verdant IPA yeast gives us a modern IPA ester profile, without the higher final gravity sweetness that comes along with other types of hazy yeast. In simple terms, it’s fruity but keeps the sweetness in check which makes the XPA so refreshing”
Eagle Bay XPA 3.5% will be replacing our Amber Ale 3.5%, and joins a core range of six beers, plus ongoing limited releases.
Enjoy our XPA’s hazy golden sunshine colour with bright guava and passionfruit tropical aromas, joining citrusy grapefruit in the glass for a sessionable beer, which closes with a tight 30 IBU bitter lift.
