RESERVE 2018 - A QUICK EAGLE BAY HISTORY LESSON

BACK TO FUN STUFF

We have two vineyards onsite at EBBC, which means most of the fruit you find in your Eagle Bay vino comes straight from our farm. We planted our vineyards in 1995, exactly 100 years after our Great Grandfather, Adrien d’Espeissis, planted his first vineyard in the Swan Valley.⁣

Adrien studied wine making + viticulture in Bordeaux before landing a job with the CSIRO and moving our family out to WA. He was so passionate about viticulture, he even wrote a book about it (pictured here with our dad, John d’Espeissis). The Handbook of Horticulture and Viticulture of Western Australia was first published in 1921 and still read by viticulturists today.⁣

To celebrate his life + his commitment to the industry, we are launching our Reserve 2018 this Friday. Inspired by his time spent in Bordeaux, it is a Bordeaux style blend, made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot + Malbec.⁣

Available from Friday 8th July, exclusive to our restaurant + cellar door + online store. Enjoy now or cellar for years to come !
