Making brews with The Mantle

Meet our Single Series / Collaboration brew with The Mantle, Fremantle

West Coast Native Ale
American Wheat Beer / Alc 4.7%

To celebrate the inaugural Taste of Kimberley and WA festival happening this month at The Mantle, (more details here) we got together and headed to Eagle Bay Brewing Co and handcrafted a single batch brew with some unique native ingredients to mark the occasion. Meet our West Coast Native Ale.

The process
The West Coast Native Ale is a collaborative brew and makes up apart of Eagle Bay Brewing Co’s single series, a range of single batch brews of only 1,000 liters, all made on-site in Eagle Bay and using only natural ingredients; rainwater, hops, malt and yeast.

Together we decided on an American Wheat Ale recipe, which will showcase the native ingredients combined into the brew, five kilos of Desert Limes from Mavick Native Farm and fifty grams of Anise Myrtle from the Bush Food Experience, all native bush food ingredients grown in Western Australia.

The West Coast Native Ale features herbaceous and citrus notes upfront, with zesty lime. This sunshine and straw-coloured brew has a light and refreshing drinkability, nicely rounded finishing with a touch of bitterness and anise myrtle.

Enjoy this handcrafted brew, proudly handcrafted by The Mantle and Eagle Bay Brewing Co.
